LIVE FREE OR DIE!

-
need i say anymore, that is the state motto, it is on all the license plates. the state of course is new hampshire a quant little place that you would barely notice driving past on the highway but once you make a stop there are some good people to meet, nick who is practically my cousin showed me around manchster , and he introduced me to a character i will have forever firmly etched in my mind - i met connor mcormack a completely unforgettable chap. the dude can party , australia definately needs its own version of a connor mcormack, imagine morris but opposite

i wish i had taken camera because there was a classic sign on the front of a corner type store 'guns, cigarettes, ammo and beer' can you not be in a place disimilar to heaven if it bears the afore mentioned insignia above its rustic wooden doors, the live free or die maxim is not taken lightly, it's such a powerfull phrase that envokes many types of emotion and could lead to certain ambiguities in other countries but the american understanding is literally live free or you will die mother fucker.
-noone wears seatbelts, there are fireworks readily available , drive in atms', i have yet to see a person on a motorbike wearing a helmet, and the gun shops are ample and heaving. yet for all this 'freedom' once again like in most us cities i have visited - the murder rate is ignored and pushed to page 8. the state has no sales tax, im pretty sure its the only state. and being just above MAthe teams are the boston red sox and the new england patriots. there is only a million people in the whole state,

it was a packed weekend, my first game of texas holdem in the usa, i came sixth of about twenty, i was too wasted and went all in on a pair of three's or something, just so i didnt have to think anymore and could devote my energy to drinking. the next day i met the rest of nick's crew and hung at a lakehouse, good times, it was my first 'nature' experience , it felt good getting back to mother earth for an afternoon.

I went to my first backyard hick party, with the side of an RV cut out of the side to make way for the band, which played all the great american rock songs that im growing to love, stuff like born to be wild and lynard skynard type stuff
after which was a place called mark's its a nice bar. i think manchester people know what i'm talking about :)

outback steakhouse this place markets itself as an australian steakhouse but it is far from it, the waitresses say stuff like 'have a bonza day' and the entree is a bloomin onion, nothing on the menu i had ever seen before, and noone knew what a meat pie was, and they had fosters actually on tap - need i say more. pretty much just an expensive restaurant with a few boomerangs on the wall.
-but cheers nick you went out of your way to show me a good time, and i only wish that you could buy alcohol after 11.30 pm so i could pay you back.

By your "first nature experience" do you mean that you went around in the country with no clothes on?

Thankyou, thankyou Dan's mum and dad. I'd also like to say thankyou to Dan for the inspiration from his small-time blog. It really helped me aim higher. P.S. Dan are you coming on Thursday? Are you gonna do our weekend trip with us? We're thinking of doing the finger lakes which is wine country and also one of the towns is Ithaca (where Road Trip was filmed).
