sweet home alabama

i bought my first lynard skynard cd in Pittsburgh, it's a double and has an extended live version of freebird. sweet , very sweet.
Pittsburgh is a clean city, and because downtown is basically an island it's virtually empty of a weekend, it reminded me of dallas. the andy warhol museum was cool, they had the room with the blow up silver goon bags... and they were having the americas next top model auditions in town, but we missed it, i was soo close to seeing the next kate moss.

-and i had my secoond person in as many days commenting on how well i spoke english, and how long have i've been learning? that's either a big comment, or i sound like a crazy immigrant who can barely pronounce a vowel

Snuff i bought some chewing tobacca, now all i need is a spittoon and my cowboy hat which i left at a bar somewhere, along with my brett favre and first draft pick for the texans football cards, they would have been my retirement fund!

Erie Pensylvania kimbo and bromleys city, it's quant haven't seen much of it yet, because we spent the weekend in pittsburgh.

Poll Results wow the results from the poll at the bottom of the page shocked me, i must have both some crazy historian friends and greedy friends. why the heck would you want to go back and stay in 1935, obviously you might try to prevent old hitler and his little war.. but still 1935?
and i seriously didn't think anyone would take the quick cash!!! im sure curing aids would make you at least ten million dollars but you have to put in the work, and the knowledge you could gleam from 48hours in 2085 could be worth a fortune, has anyone seen the movie where the dude buys the sports almanac, not to mention how cool it would be seeing all the flying bubble cars and the giant radioactive cockroaches!!!
-im going to put up another poll soon, it's top secret but i can say it's about being on an island and television.

screech - i just put up the link for screech's website, he is being evicted!!

a beer factory, need i say more

fireworks, im sure you could blow the fuck out
of something with this baby

this is in NYC, this homeless guy is on google
if you type in 'ninjas killed my family' you'll find
him, i was drunk and he was outside the bar
so i kept paying him to take photos with his sign
he ended up giving me the sign. looking at this pic
my tattoo looks undersized, i might have to get something done about that.

arlington cemetry, this is in virginia, but just across the river from washington d.c.

quotes -

'You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your fucking khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world. ' - Tyler Durden - fight club

'Fuck off with your sofa units and strine green stripe patterns, I say never be complete, I say stop being perfect, I say lets evolve, let the chips fall where they may.' - Tyler Durden - fight club

(i have to watch this movie every few months just to get a reality check.)

In response to your question... I actually have TWO active blogs. The Mex-Files isn't technically mine (I set it up for an American guy living in México DF... but he's now migrated most of the content elsewhere) and the Ryder-world blog is just a simple blog I set up to display photos of my brother's increasing family... so that his in-laws in Canada could have ready access to recent photographs. So my active ones are Philosophicdreamer (which you know) and kNOwMAD (http://knowmad.travellerspoint.com) which is my travel-specific-blog. Oh yeah, and I "work for the government". Actually my background is in private enterprise/legal (yeah, capitalism rocks man!) but I took on a temporary contract position within local government for the past few months. Scary. Public servants are a pretty frightening bunch - lots of socially disabled individuals with personality disorders who've worked in the same job for more than 30 years and they're still living at home with their parents... you have no idea how frightening it was to see who actually has control over the country! Argh!
