Germain Greer can suck my testosterone filled testicles

now i don't confess to having read read 'the female eunuch' or any of her other books, and i appreciate what she did for females and the movement, but this is a seperate issue. She has made it personal. I like those ford falcon ute ads where the guy dreams of a prettier wife, and she panned those! and what has she done for me lately? nothing, and who wants to help the homeless ?no one, .

greer is the embarrasement for claiming that the animal world has struck revenge on irwin, that he treated animals poorly and that we shouldn't be sad for his loss. How can you dismiss the education and awareness irwin created towards animal kind?, how can she justify her comments when irwin put all his profits from that movie (which did have a few funny bits) into buying thousands of hectares of land for the pure purpose of preserving a pristine habitat for wildlife?

Greer believes irwin was heavy handed with the animals, wrestling them or provoking them , but like many people would argue animals have a more limited capacity to process information and pain in their brains, but that is a whole other argument.. irwin had only the best interest of the animals in mind, that is why he didn't even use drugs to subdue crocodiles because he thought it would be too stressful on their bodies, so he wrestled them into submission!!!

i have a blanket now, so im both keeping warm and the school spirit alive , our first home game is this saturday, and homecoming is the week after!!! homecoming for the americans isn't the first home game, it's the first home game that you know you will flogg the other team, flogg them till they bleed. and that team is ... W. Michigan. we have one of the hardest conferences'
-Florida State is ranked seventh in the nation
-virginia tech is ranked 16th
-the rankings only go up to 25 so i don't know ours.http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/conference?confId=1 that is the link to our conference page. with rankings and stats and scores and stuff

edgar allan poe: this sign is outside his dorm room.

the donkey of the week award goes to: GERMAINE GREER Posted by Picasa

this guy is pretty narly, check out his little skull cap, i think he or SHE (sorry miss greer) would be an adequate pet if he still existed

Quotes:

'Crikey'
'Look at the size of that one!!!'

- goodbye Steve Irwin ... crocodile hunter

wat the fuck is going on, brock and irwin, im over greer im not even thinking about her now, i wish i had something profound to say about all these deaths but what can you say, maybe i can actually use some of my philosphy,
the stoics would say
-when your baby dies- 'did you not know you gave birth to a mortal?'
-when your wife dies- 'did you not know teacups break'

the stoics dont want you to feel emotion just accept it and move along because you should only feel things that are virtuous, i am more on the epicurian point of view that you shouldn't be reliant on material things for happiness but don't deny yourself pleasures if they are easy to come by, and bla bla bla
-after four years of studying the greatest minds in history i have no more answers than i have more questions, so maybe i turn to a nike ad for answers 'just do it' i think that sums things up adequately , we can never know what the fuck is going on and we hold on tightly to certain beliefs that give us comfort even though those beliefs may be totally misguided
and based on something we may have read and taken as gospel or something we have learnt on our travels or from our parents,
the point is
the truths you think solidify your life are just comfort barriers that form a protective barrier stopping the cold hold truth that no one knows what the fuck to do with this life that is so precious and so expendable and so brittle.
maybe i should end on a quote from richard ashcroft and the verve. 'its a bittersweet sympothy thats life, try to make ends meet your a slave to the money then you die...

a line from a ted leo song:
"i know some things i'd rather not/like the time ahead is all the time we've got"
the ultimate purpose of life is to make money for someone else.
what did hobbes say?
"life is brutish, hard and short."
you gotta live in the minute, from one minute to the next. it's all you can do.
peace love unity

Hobbes said life for a man in the state of nature was "solitary, poor, nasty, brutish and short." Doesn't mean society has to be. But Hobbes ignored the fact that society may give material security, but imposes social straigthjackets. Death comes for all, to be sure. Perhaps the time we have before it would be better spent reconciling ourselves with it, and with what it's inevitability means for our understanding of the good life.

Ah, who am I kidding, I got nothing. fucking clue.

You, Dan, seem to have acquired a fair bit of philosophy under your belt! That, to me, is a pretty admirable past-time while occupying this mortal coil.

Hey Dan

Was awesome to talk to you on the phone. Hope you can manage to stay away from wheat. Wheat is the enemy!

That donkey is way more attractive than Germain Greer.

the social straight jacket that hobbes implies is one of natural limitations, for a society to evolve it discerns what works best for itself to function, so people who argue about morals coming from god say that inherently you know what is right or wrong, but you actually learned what is right and wrong , you could grow up on a deserted island and think its right to kill the opposing tribe, but for a society to function it imposes its own restrictions through an evolution of morals and what works to keep it going, that is why the society we have now in the west at least is considered free because those who have gone before have sacrificed so we can be here, like the animal that isnt apt to breathe air became extinct for those who can breathe air.
so society has become a collection of ideals and morals that 'works' to perpetuate its own existence, and some may call those restrictions , but without those with would be nordics and invading the lands of others and destroying our own people through murder and the like, such is the conundrum of freedom, not matter what state of physical life your are always responsible to keeping your own body alive and as an extension the society you happen to find yourself in,
so we should be very thankfull of the people who have walked before us and created a structure that allows us to live in a freedom that is at maximum that a physical body can achieve...

you will always need to eat and drink, so you can't truly be free unless you're a spirit, and that is a whole different disscusion, and in society for it to function you have to obey certain universal truths, and they are universal for the sheer fact that many people have stepped the path before.

whatever you do : smoke, drink, learn, earn, love, kill, die, dissapoint, satisfy, justify: is a pretty arbitary past-time while occupying this mortal coil

Hey Dan,

Look - I AM checking your blog!! Thanks heaps for the call - it was great to hear your american accent! I can't think of anything profound to say at the moment - sorry.

It's pretty cool that you go to the university that Edgar Allen Poe went to. I'm pretty sure we studied him in english at school.

I agree - Germaine Greer should put a sock in it! it's so weak to diss someone after their dead - why didn't she make herself clear when he was alive - you never insult someone just after they die - that's the rule! i feel so bad for the family.

See ya.

Johnny Cash did a similar thing about 12 years or so before this one, where he sang Soundgarden's "Rusty Cage". Another classic rendition that goes a long way to being considered to surpass the original.
